Ministerial List: Fct-Abuja Indigenes Call on President Tinubu to Include Them
The Gbagyi ethnic community, one of the major indigenous ethnic groups in the Federal Capital Territory, has asked President Bola Tinubu to include them in his cabinet and on the ministerial list.
Dorothy Nuhu Akenova, a renowned member of the Gbagyi community, made the request at a news conference in Abuja on Friday. She insisted that their tribe not be neglected throughout the list-making process.
She stated that the Gbagyi tribe is critical to Nigeria’s future and that their participation on the ministerial list might serve as a bridge between the government and the state’s indigenous people.
For a long time, the Gbagyi ethnic minority has fought for its rights and respect for the Ministerial position of the FCT in acknowledgment of their sacrifices in hosting the seat of government.
