The Mpape District Head, Alhaji Abubakar Gimbya, has assured corruption tori that he will use his capacity as the traditional in the community to take on the anti-corruption fight in Mpape.
Gimbya made this statement when the corruption tori team paid him a courtesy visit recently in Abuja.
The visit was aimed at engaging the traditional ruler on what Corruption Tori is all about and also to invite him to the Town Hall organized by Signature TV in his community.
Corruption Tori is a pidgin English corruption programme aired on Africa Independence Television, AIT and further broken down to Indigenous languages, Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba
Alhaji Abubakar Gimbya while speaking said that the intent of the visit will be achieved and thanked them for the good work, they were doing in fighting corruption
The team was led by the Chief Executive Officer of Signature Communications, Vin Martin Obiora Ilo, Chief Operating Officer, Nwabueze Njoku and others.
Briefing the Traditional ruler on the purpose of the visit, Nwabueze Njoku said corruption tori is bringing the message to the grassroots in a language the locals can relate with
The Chief Executive Officer, Vin Martin Obiora Ilo in his remarks, said the program will enlighten ordinary men on the street, market women, village women, keke riders on the damage corruption has done in Nigeria and their individual lives.
To colour the visit, Corruption Tori presented gift items to the traditional ruler and his community.

Receiving the corruption tori team, Abubakar Gimbya said everywhere in Nigeria today is corrupt and the bad condition of his community road was one out of the numerous damages of corruption.
To intensify its strategic engagements at the grassroots level and amplify the ongoing war against corruption in Nigeria, the visit to the Mpape Community leader was instrumental to the success of the corruption tori Town Hall.
