NAF jets bomb Ansaru terrorists in Kaduna

The military has said that Nigerian Air Force jets attached to Operation Thunder Strike have neutralized several Ansaru terrorists and bandits at their camp in the Kuduru Forest area of Kaduna State.

It added that the attact on Thursday followed intelligence reports which indicated that  bandits suspected to be members of the Ansaru terrorist group led by one Mallam Abba were noticed at the location.

According to the military, aerial surveillance missions conducted over the area also observed several bandits wielding weapons in the forest.

The Coordinator, Defence Media Operations, Maj. Gen. John Enenche, said this this  in a statement on Saturday.

The statement captioned, ‘Operation Thunder Strike hits bandits’ camp at Kuduru Forest, Kaduna,’ added that several of the bandits were killed.

“Several of the bandits were killed as the attack aircraft strafed the area, while others attempting to escape were mopped-up in follow-on attacks.”
