A group of aggrieved Nigerian youths staged a protest on Monday at the Garlic Area 3 branch of Guaranty Trust Bank, voicing strong opposition to the arrest and detention of popular social activist Martin Vincent Otseh, widely known as “Very Dark Man.”

The protesters, visibly angry, decried the circumstances surrounding his arrest, describing it as a “kidnap” rather than a lawful apprehension.
They alleged that Otseh was neither invited for questioning nor served an arrest warrant.

Demanding his immediate and unconditional release, the demonstrators emphasized the need for due process and accountability.

Echoing these concerns, the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate also condemned the arrest, calling for greater adherence to the rule of law and the protection of fundamental human rights.
