NOA SCALES UP CAMPAIGN AGAINST OPEN DEFECATION
The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has scaled up sensitization activities to ensure sustainability of the Open Defecation Free (ODF) status in Jigawa.
The Director of the agency, Alhaji Ahmad Tijjani, said this in an interview with News men, on Saturday in Dutse.
He said the campaign was designed to promote good sanitation habits to maintain the ODF status as declared by Federal the Government in 2022.
Tijjani said the agency through the Community Orientation and Mobilization Officers (COMOs) extended its outreach to markets, motor parks and other public places, to create awareness on the dangers associated with open defecation.
While calling for more collaboration between the stakeholders, Tijjani urged the residents to keep a clean environment and ensure proper personal hygiene.
