NSCDC ARRESTS TWO TRICYCLE THIEVES IN ANAMBRA
Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Anambra State Command, have arrested two suspected members of a tricycle-snatching syndicate notorious for dispossessing operators and passengers of their belongings.
The state NSCDC commandant, Olatunde Maku, confirmed the arrest at the command’s headquarters in Awka on Wednesday, stating that the suspects were apprehended after allegedly snatching a tricycle at Araba Umuzocha, Awka.
Maku identified the arrested suspects as Obum Charles of Umueze Road, Amudo Village, Awka, and Chukwunonso Ekeh of No. 36 Onueyiagu Street, Amachala, Awka.
Maku disclosed that the duo is assisting the command with information that could lead to the arrest of their fleeing accomplice, adding that investigations were ongoing and the suspects would be prosecuted upon completion.
