NSE: Investor lost N45.33 Billion, with all the market indices closing red.

Trading began on Monday on a negative note, as the investor lost Forty-Five Point Three-Three Billion naira with all the market indices closed red.

Market capitalization fell from Twenty Point Two-Two Trillion Naira Traded On Friday to Twenty Point One-Seven Trillion on Monday, a Forty-Five Point Three-Three-Billion-naira loss.

The All Share Index points as a result closed at Thirty-Eight Thousand, Five Hundred and Sixty- One Point Eight –Four Points from Thirty-Eight Thousand, Six Hundred and Forty-Eight Point Four –Eight Points, a zero point two-two percent fall.

In the like manner, the volume of traded stocks fell to One Hundred and Eighty-Four Point Five Million on Monday, a reduction from Two Hundred and Ninety-Three Point Nine-Seven Million Traded on Friday.

The value also fell to Two Point Five Billion naira from Three Point Seven-Six Billion traded on Friday.

There were Seventeen gainers and Eighteen losers recorded on the floor.

WAPIC INSURANCE PLC was the highest gainer on the gainers’ chart. Other top gainers include, Smurfit, NOTHERN NIGERIA FLOUR MILL and NEM INSURANCE PLC

However, the top loser was REGALINS INSURANCE PLC. LIVESTOCK FEEDS PLC, NIGERIAN BREWERIES and JAIZ BANK were other top losers.

Fall in the share prices of ZENITH BANK, GUARANTY TRUST BANK and DANGOTE SUGAR anchored the Forty-Five Point Three-Three-Billion-naira loss.
