PDP NAMES NEW NATIONAL WORKING COMMITTEE MEMBERS

Amidst the ongoing crisis in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leading to suspensions and counter suspensions, the National Secretariat of the party on Friday ratified the suspension of its National Publicity secretary, Debo Ologunagba and its National Legal Adviser Kam aldeen Ajibade SAN.

The party at a press conference held at Wadata plaza, addressed by the new National Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr Ibrahim Abdullahi   said the decision was taken by the National Working Committee during its meeting on Thursday.

The New Deputy Publicity Secretary of the Party, Abdullahi, at the press conference in Abuja shed more light on the matter.

Ibrahim said the party was focused and determined to address all lingering issues in the party bothering on accusations against some of its officers.

Meanwhile, a Federal High Court in Abuja on Friday restrained the National Executive Committee (NEC) and Board of Trustees (BoT) of the PDP from removing Umar Damagum as its Acting National Chairman.

Justice Peter Lifu ordered that no person other than Damagum should be recognized as PDP national chairman until the party’s national convention scheduled for December 2025.

Justice Lifu issued the restraining order while delivering judgment in a suit instituted against the leadership by Senator Umar El-Gash Maina.
