PEOPLE FEARED DEAD IN ONITSHA COLLAPSED BUILDING
The sad story of collapse of a massive four storey building under construction inside the premises of Denis Memorial Grammar School (DMGS), Onitsha, has sent panic across the commercial city.
Signature TV Awka Bureau Chief, Ndu Okpalaeze, reports that the building which overlooked the DMGS Roundabout along Awka Road, Onitsha, was nearing completion and already roofed before it collapsed Tuesday night, (11/06/24).
Many people were seen viewing the wreckage of the building while the school authorities prevented anyone from going into the compound.
Volunteers and emergency help were seen running helter-skelter but no information on any casualty was released.
Students were not seen around because they were said to be on break.
