Peter Mbah To Dump PDP October 14

The political equation of Enugu State will change on October 14. This is official as the entire PDP will empty into the ruling All Progressives Congress on that date.

Two national officials of the APC, the National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda and deputy national chairman ( South), Emma Eneukwu made the definitive pronouncement at the inauguration of a caretaker executive committee for the Enugu State chapter of the All Progressives Congress in Abuja on Friday

Dr. Ben Nwoye, the new state caretaker Chairman said the governor will join the ruling party alongside all his appointees.

Mbah is expected to join the ruling party alongside elected PDP national and state legislators, members of the PDP state executive, and party leaders from ward and local government levels across the state.

APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, and Deputy National Chairman (South), Hon. Emma Eneukwu, while inaugurating a seven-man caretaker committee for the party in Enugu State, hinted at ongoing efforts to strengthen the party’s influence in the South East region.

On September 2nd 2025, PDP inaugurated a 119 member committee ahead of their November Convention in Ibadan with Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State as chairman, Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State as Vice Chairman while Peter Mbah of Enugu state is Secretary.

With Peter Mbah decamping to the ruling party, he will be joining the likes of Hope Uzodinma of Imo State and Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State.

Alex Otti is in Labour party and Charles Soludo, who has openly supported Tinubu’s second term bid remains in APGA.
