Police Brutality in Enugu: Is the Police still your friend?
This is a video obtained yesterday by signaturetv.org of police personnel in Uwani Enugu, South East Nigeria assaulting a young Nigerian. This took place at the police checkpoint on the road from Kenyetta/Edozien junction behind St Mary’s Catholic Church as you are approaching University of Nigeria Enugu Campus gate.
The Police personnel seen in this video in what is fast becoming an “extortion strategy” accosted the young man and seized his phone and when the young man demanded that his phone be returned the three policemen descended on him.
The helpless young man could be heard asking what his crime was but instead of getting answers he got more beating.
This barbarism and lawlessness has to stop.

The police men as at this time am posting this have been arrested but their names were not disclosed.
