President Tinubu Commissions Emeka Anyaoku institute For International Studies At Unizik, Awka
President Bola Tinubu has commissioned the Emeka Anyaoku Institute for International Studies and Diplomacy at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.
The edifice, established by the elder statesman and former Commonwealth secretary general, Chief Emeka Anyaoku was commissioned by Tinubu on his first official visit to Anambra state.
The President who described Anyaoku as a patriot whose achievements are outstanding worldwide used the occasion to call for more of such contributions to national growth.Â
He expressed the hope that the institute will graduate people who would deepen the nation’s involvement in international affairs and diplomacy.Â
Acting vice chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Prof Joseph Ikechebelu commended the president for his bold steps in supporting education as witnessed in Nnamdi Azikiwe UniversityÂ
The commissioning ceremony was witnessed by Chief Emeka Anyaoku himself, Igwe Alfred Achebe of Onitsha and Senators Victor Umeh Ben Ndi Obi, Mike Ajegbo and Uche Ekwunife, among others.
