Regina Pacis College Emerges Winner of the Corruption Tori 2021 Essay Competition

Regina Pacis College Abuja has emerged first prize winner of the 2021 Corruption Tori Schools Essay competition, on the topic “How Corruption affects the Nigerian Family” organized by Signature TV, producers of Corruption Tori.

The winner of the essay competition, Ayembem Ekabasowo Gladys of Regina Pacis College,  who got a tablet and a cash prize of Fifty Thousand Naira for her school, said when she heard about the competition, she did her best in researching the topic and put in her best in the competition.

Gladys in an interview with the media at the town hall appreciated Corruption Tori for organizing the essay competition. She further thanked her school management and teachers for supporting her.

She said corruption is common, especially in government agencies where funds allocated to do work for the community is being embezzled, which makes ordinary Nigerians suffer.

She urged Nigerians to join hands with Signature TV and some other Anti-corruption agencies to eradicate corruption in Nigeria.

In an interview with newsmen, the Chief Executive Officer of Signature TV, VinMartin Ilo stated that the aim of  the Essay Competition is to catch the students young in the fight against corruption.

He added that Corruption Tori organized the essay competition to know how the children feel about corruption and it discovered that the students have so much pain in their hearts.

Ilo called on other stakeholders and anti-corruption agencies to work together towards eradicating corruption in Nigeria.

The town hall meeting had in attendance secondary schools in the Federal Capital Territory, government officials, traditional chiefs, Mpape Market Women Association, Gwagi women, National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Okada riders, members of the press, Corruption Tori team amongst others.
