Rotary Club Karu Housing Estate Abuja: Nimi bows out as Anita takes over

The 6th and the first female president of the Rotary Club Karu Housing Estate Abuja last Sunday took over the leadership of the club from Nimi Lawrence who served as the president for one year.

Vurinrin Anita Ifidon,  first female president of the Rotary club of karu housing estate Abuja chapter,  who took over from the past president, nimi Lawrence appreciated Nigerians who have supported the club in achieving its  humanitarian mandate.

She also solicited for partnership and continued support from Nigerians to enable the club uplift the less privileged and make society better.

The immediate past president of the club, Nimi Lawrence described the investiture ceremony as an episode of mixed feelings of sadness and great joy to him

He highlighted some of the projects executed during his one year as the president of the club and charged the incoming administration to continue in the same direction.

The District Governor, Goddy Nnadi described rotary club as the best charity body which strives to complete any project they start, irrespective of the circumstances, calling on Nigerians to join the family to change lives.

The District Secretary of Rotary Club Abuja, James Ugbeda praised the new president, describing her as a virtuous woman, a fun loving woman who holds her faith strongly and cherishes every moment with her family and friends.

The investiture ceremony was graced by many prominent Nigerians including Honorable Peter Akpatason, the Deputy majority leader of the house of representatives and the chairman house committee on judiciary, Hon. Luke Onofiok.
