As part of its oversight function, the Senate committee on Army led by its Chairman, Senator Ali Ndume and the Deputy Chairman Senator Abba Morro has paid a working visit to Nigerian Army Headquarters in Abuja
The visit was aimed at finding the way forward to end insecurity bedevilling the nation and also to know the challenges facing the Army in fighting terrorism.
The meeting later went into a closed-door session where the army chief and his principal staff officers were to brief the lawmakers on sensitive army security operations conducted across the country.
