Senate Sacks Ndume As Senate Chief Whip, Tahir Munguno Replaces Him
The Senate, on Wednesday, announced the removal of Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume (APC, Borno South) as Majority Chief Whip.
Senator Tahir Munguno has replaced Senator Ali Ndume as Senate Chief Whip.
In a voice vote, the upper chamber took the unanimous resolution to effect the replacement, after a letter of complaint against the unbecoming utterances of the chief whip, Sen. Ali Ndume by the APC National Headquarters, was read by the President of the Senate, Sen. Godswill Akpabio.
Recalled that Ndume came under attacks from both the Presidency and ruling APC following his criticism of President Bola Tinubu’s style of leadership against the backdrop of the prevailing state of the nation.
