The Nigeria international faces a race against time to be fit for Saturday’s encounter.
Manager Maximilliano Allegri will be desperate to have the winger available for the game, especially with Portugal international Rafael Leao already ruled with a calf injury.
Chukwueze’s could also still leave Milan before the end of the summer transfer window.
The 26-year-old has struggled to earn regular playing time since his arrival at the club from Villarreal two years ago.
