Oladapo Oyebanjo, Nigerian singer-songwriter better known D’banj, says sleeping in his room for the first time in 21 months wasn’t easy for him as expected.

The music superstar disclosed this in a post on his social media page on Saturday, in what appeared to be his reflection about life and family generally.

According to him, his resilience alongside his family in the face of several challenges has shown people can overcome whatever odds that come their way in life if they are strong-willed.

“For the first time in 21 months I slept in my own room…I thought it would be easier but the memories are so fresh and although my family and I have been through so much in this time,” he wrote on Instagram.

The ‘Olive Twist’ crooner went on to charge those struggling to grapple with the coronavirus crisis and other personal problems not to throw in the trowel.

“I woke up with a grateful heart knowing that I can be a source of visible hope to anyone going through a hard time due to this pandemic or any personal issue. Just know that tomorrow will be better and you can turn your pain into motivation. Stay strong,” he said.
