South African President, Cyril Ramaphosa has today taken the oath of office amidst joyous crowds at the Union Buildings in Pretoria.

Reflecting the nation’s hopes for Ramaphosa’s tenure, Chief Apostle Khumalo of the Amantungwa Royal Kingdom called for transparency and honesty among politicians.

Ramaphosa’s African National Congress will be sharing power with five other parties after it was humbled in a May twenty nine election, losing its parliamentary majority for the first time in thirty years of democracy.

The ANC remains the largest party after the election, followed by the pro-business Democratic Alliance, a strong critic of the ANC’s record in office which has nevertheless agreed to join the new government.
