Sunday Igboho’s House Attacked by gunmen

The home of Yoruba activist, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho was attacked in the early hours of Monday morning by Suspected gunmen in Soka area of Ibadan, Oyo State capital.

It was gathered that gunshots were heard in front Igboho’s house, and this has put the residents in the area on the edge.
During an interview Igboho’s spokesperson, Dapo Salami told newsmen that the gunmen surrounded the building at midnight and started shooting.

Also, Olayomi Koiko another spokesman claimed that Nigerian soldier were responsible for the siege because they wanted the activist arrested.
Koiko described the situation as a big challenge, calling on all Yoruba sons and daughters to rise in solidarity and fight for their ‘freedom’.

He added that they cannot be intimidated because they are fully prepared and insinuated that Oyo state government could have a hand in the attack.
