The Supreme Court in Abuja has finally put to rest the legal entanglement between Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar of the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC.
The court has quashed the arguments put forward by the APC and its candidate, Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar.
It has finally validated Bala of the PDP as duly elected governor of the state.
In a unanimous judgement delivered on the petition filled in by the APC and its candidate on Monday, a five-man panel of the court led by Justice Sylvester Nguta threw away Mr Abubakar’s prayers and affirmed Bala’s victory
