Suspected gunmen kill three police officers in Ebonyi
Gunmen at a checkpoint in Ebonyi State have reportedly killed three policemen.
The incident happened on Monday, in front of a police station in Ishielu Local Council of the state.
The gunmen were reported to have opened fire on the officers, who were said to have mounted a roadblock in front of the station and killed them.
It was gathered that the remains of the victims have been deposited at a mortuary in Abakaliki after they were confirmed dead by doctors.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PRO) in Ebonyi state, Loveth Odah, confirmed the incident.
