Tension in Abuja as taxi drivers protest illegal VIO charges

Taxi drivers in the Federal Capital Territory gathered at the Federal Secretariat, Abuja, on Monday to protest alleged harassment and collection of illegal levies by Vehicle Inspection Officers in the FCT.

Union leaders were seen preventing taxi drivers from operating and forcing their passengers to alight.
