The Chief of Army Staff, Major General Olufemi Oluyede, has vowed that there will be no rest for terrorists in Nigeria until they are neutralised.
He said that the Army is improving on strategies to make sure that more terrorists, especially in the northeast are flushed out of the Nigerian space.
Oluyede disclosed this on Tuesday during his visit to the 35 Artillery Brigade Alamala in Abeokuta.
The army boss who inspected the quarter guard upon arriving at the 35 Artillery Brigade and subsequently addressed men of the command, noted that the army has recorded success in taking out a huge number of bandits, adding that efforts are being made to record more success.
He was in the company of top officials from the force headquarters.
Oluyede said “We have been making efforts to make sure that these terrorists are sent out of Nigeria. All hands are on deck to make things to make things better.
“A good number of bandits have been taken out of the space and nobody is getting to hear anything about them again because we went after them, especially in the north.

“Particularly we are trying to do things differently so that we can achieve better results and make Nigeria secure”.
Detailing the reason for his visit, Major General Oluyede stressed that the Army is placing priority on the welfare of soldiers in the country for them to effectively secure and safe the nation.
He stated that the Army is working on the welfare of the soldiers to improve their operations across the country.
He said, “I am primarily to see my soldiers and how they are faring, particularly to enjoin them to do their work much better so that we can all collectively ensure that Nigeria becomes safer and more secure”.
