The All Share Index closed in the red on wednesday, after a two days consecutive rise

The All Share Index closed in the red on Wednesday at the close of business on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange after two days of consecutive rise.
On Wednesday, the All Share Index fell to thirty-five thousand, fifty-six point eight two from Thirty-Five Thousand One Hundred and Forty-Seven Point Six Two which it recorded on Tuesday,
However, the volume of stocks traded rose to three hundred and sixty-eight million, nine hundred and sixty-six thousand, three hundred and forty-seven, from Three Hundred and Eight Million, One Hundred and Eighty Thousand, Nine Hundred and Fifty-One, a nineteen point seven two percent rise.
The value also increased from Three Billion, Four Hundred and Two Million, Six Hundred and Forty-One Thousand, One Hundred and Two Point Seven Eight naira to five billion, four hundred and ninety million, nine hundred and eighty-three thousand, four hundred and twenty-nine point six two. This was a sixty-one point three seven percent increase.
AIICO INSURANCE PLC was the top gainer at the close of trading. Its share price rose from One Naira One Kobo traded on Tuesday to One Naira, eleven Kobo on Wednesday.
C & I LEASING PLC topped the losers’ chart among other 22 losers. Its share price dipped from Sixty Kobo traded on Tuesday to Fifty-Four Kobo, a nine point nine zero percent loss per share.
