Tottenham vs Liverpool: Aurier clashes with Mourinho, drives away from stadium at half time

Tottenham Hotspur defender, Serge Aurier, stormed out of the dressing room at half-time and left the stadium during half-time of their 3-1 defeat to Liverpool, the UK Mirror reports.

It is understood that Aurier and manager Jose Mourinho were involved in a furious bust-up at the new Tottenham Stadium.

The Ivorian full-back was unhappy with how Mourinho blamed him for the first Liverpool goal, scored by Roberto Firmino.

Aurier, who started the game at right wing-back, was stationary as Sadio Mane ghosted in behind and laid the ball for Firmino to tap in.

Mourinho apparently gave his squad a dressing down at the interval, as he dissected the opener and it is claimed there were “angry exchanges” between players.

Aurier was then withdrawn at the interval, and clearly did not take the news well as he left the stadium and went home.

Things were made worse for Spurs as Harry Kane failed to come out for the second half, after suffering an ankle injury.
