Transfer: AC Milan cool interest in Chukwueze, target cheaper alternative
Serie A club, AC Milan is looking for an alternative following the difficulty in securing the services of Samuel Chukwueze.
The Rooseneri had identified the Villarreal winger as a potential signing this summer.
Villarreal’s stance on getting €30 million for the player has made it difficult for them to get the deal done.
AC Milan value Chukwueze, who was named Best African player in LaLiga last season, at €25 million.
The Nigerian international is also a non-EU player, and Milan only have one spot left in the squad for someone without a European Union passport, having already signed Ruben Loftus-Cheek from Chelsea.
Milan have now shifted their attention to
FC Midtjylland winger, Gustav Tang Isaksen, who is cheaper and thought to be of similar quality.
