Sergio Ramos is set to leave Sevilla after his contract expired, the La Liga club announced on Monday.

Ramos made 37 appearances in all competitions last season as they finished 14th, scoring seven goals.

ESPN reports Sevilla wanted the 38-year-old to stay, but the player opted to move on because of the team’s bad sporting and institutional situation.

Ramos is now attracting attention from Saudi Arabia and the MLS.

However, he has yet to decide his future and has not ruled out anything.

On Tuesday, Ramos will appear at a news conference at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán stadium alongside José María del Nido Carrasco, Sevilla’s president, to formally announce his departure.
