U-20 WWCQ: Aduku upbeat Falconets will overcome Senegal in Dakar

Falconets head coach, Moses Aduku is optimistic his side will overcome Senegal in the second leg of their 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifying fixture

Nigeria defeated the Lionesses 1-0 in the first leg at the Moshood Abiola Sports Arena, Abeokuta last weekend.

Senegal put up a spirited effort in the game, and the reverse fixture is expected to be keenly contested.

Aduku said that he has taken a lot of lessons from Saturday’s which is going to be vital in Dakar.

“We will overcome because we have reviewed the match and taken a lot of lessons on board. I commend the girls for regrouping after a tough first half, adjusting tactics and showing character in the second half,” Aduku told thenff.com.

Meanwhile, the Falconets will travel to Dakar for the game on Wednesday.

25 players will make the trip with top striker Janet Akekoromowei already ruled out with injury.
