UNSPECIFIED NUMBER OF PEOPLE ABDUCTED AT IDODO BORDER COMMUNITY ON ENUGU-ABAKALIKI ROAD
Reports just reaching our new desk says an unspecified number of people were abducted and taken away on Tuesday night by suspected herdsmen around the Idodo community on the Enugu-Abakaliki expressway.
An eye witness who escaped from the suspected kidnappers, John Nnoke disclosed that the occupants of about three vehicles who were accosted are still unaccounted for as at the time of this report while a few of the victims escaped to different directions.
The fate of the unlucky victims who were taken into the bush is still unknown.
Nnoke further disclosed that some members of the Joint Task Force arrived the scene moments later restoring some confidence to drivers and passengers on the route to continue their journey.
