We will appeal judgement- Bayelsa Governor
Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri has expressed his readiness to challenge the ruling of the State Election Tribunal quashing his election as Governor.
Diri reacting to the ruling said he had briefed his lawyers and he had “implicit confidence in the judiciary that he would triumph in the end.
“We trust in the judiciary and we are appealing the judgment. With God on our side, we will get justice.
“This is a court of first instance and I have instructed our lawyers to file an appeal. We have a right of appeal even up to the Supreme Court.”
He called on his supporters to be law abiding and not to worry as he was sure justice will prevail in the end.
