Public and civil servants returned to work on Tuesday following the one week suspension of the nation-wide strike by organized labour.

The country’s organised labour made up of the Nigeria Labour Congress and Trade Union Congress had Tuesday announced the suspension of its nationwide strike following an agreement it reached with the federal government negotiating team.
It is expected that the tripartite committee will reach an amicable agreement on a new national minimum wage within the one week window given by labour.
