World Cup Qualifier: You are not a match against Nigeria – Ghana Parliament member Warns Black Stars
With the sad exit of Nigeria from the Africa Cup of Nations currently going on in Cameroon, but a brilliant Group stage performance, a member of the Ghanaian parliament, Patrick Boamah, has urged Ghanaians to forfeit their 2022 World Cup qualifying playoff against Nigeria.
The lawmaker Boamah who wants his country not to waste their time playing Nigeria, who, according to him, is a far better team than the Black Stars was reacting as, Ghana has a showdown with Nigeria in March in a two-legged playoff that would determine who makes it to the Qatar 2022 showpiece.
He also commented on the performance of The Black Stars at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, crashing out in the group stage of the competition without winning a single game.
He advised Ghana’s national team not to be in a hurry to play any competitive match but to prepare a team over the next five years.
