World Leaders condole with Tanzania over President Magufuli’s death

World leaders on Thursday took to social media to Eulogised the late Tanzanian President, John Magufuli who died of a heart condition on Wednesday aged 61.

Yoweri Musevi, President of the Republic of Uganda wrote “I have, with great sadness, learnt of the death of His Excellency John Pombe Magufuli. He was a pragmatic leader who believed in and worked for the economic empowerment of East Africans. We join Tanzania in mourning the passing of a great son of Africa. May his soul rest in peace.”
“We are saddened by the loss of my brother and friend, President Magufuli. His contribution to his country & to our region will not be forgotten. My deepest condolences to his family and the people of Tanzania. The people of Rwanda stand with Tanzania during this difficult time’, wrote Rwanda President, Paul Kagame, 

Others are; South African President, Cyril Ramaphosa, Kenya President, Uhuru Kenyatta,  Chinese and United States Embassy in Tanzania, former Nigeria President and UN special envoy on the crisis, Goodluck Jonathan all took to social media to pay tributes to the late ‘Bulldozer’.

The Tanzania vice-president Samia Suluhu would assume the presidency for the remainder of the 5-year term that Magufuli began serving last year. she would be the first female president of the country and the only female currently holding executive power in Africa.
