Enugu State House of Assembly has called for decongestion of the roads across the state.
The call was followed by the motion moved yesterday by Hon. Chukwuka Eneh on the floor of the House.

The bill was titled: “The need to remove all the vehicles abandoned by the roadside, road corridors within and around 9th mile Enugu, all the streets in Enugu metropolis and other flashpoints in the state, to stop further parking and abandoning of trucks and vehicles along the road corridor, house bill number six, 2020”.

Hon. Chukwuka Eneh while moving the motion argued that aside from the fact that Christmas is fast approaching, some of the things that cause road congestion and accidents include the way and manner drivers pack by the roadsides or corridor.
The speaker, Enugu State House of Assembly Hon Edward Ubosi acknowledged that traffic gridlock has become a daily norm at 9th Mile Corner and other parts of the state, saying that the motion when implemented would save more lives.
