2023: FCT Drums Support for Tinubu
As the 2023 presidential election draws near, Yoruba community in the nation’s capital city Abuja has pulled their weight behind Tinubu/Shettima’s candidacy in the coming 2023 general elections.
City Boy Movement, a support group, rooting for the APC Presidential candidate recently organized a Town Hall meeting where the Yoruba Community converged to roll out their support even as they insisted that as a detribalized leader, Bola Ahmed Tinubu is what Nigeria needs as a solution to its many challenges.
In an interview with the general secretary, FCT Yoruba Oba’s council, His Royal Highness Oba Abiodun Nurudeen, said Nigerians should not look at their support of the APC candidate because of his origin but as a leader who has shown capacity to deliver leadership and willingness to serve Nigerians.
On his part, the convener City boy movement, Shoga Francis called on the entire Yoruba race to put sentiments aside and support Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a greater Nigeria.
Lending his voice, Dr. Hassan Sadiq, Spokesperson City boy and strategy movement expressed optimism that tinubu’s government will be knowledge driven.
The director program of City Boy Movement, Dr. Bode Ajose said the aim of the Town Hall is to mobilize and educate those at the grassroot to see the need to support the APC presidential candidate not because of where he is from but rather who he is.
