2027: Makinde to Unveil APM Presidential Campaign Council on Friday
Oyo State Governor and Presidential Candidate of the Allied People’s Movement (APM), Seyi Makinde, will on Friday inaugurate the party’s Oyo State Presidential and Governorship Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to a statement issued on Wednesday by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olarenwaju, the inauguration will take place at 3:30 p.m. in the Conference Room of the Governor’s Office, Secretariat, Ibadan.
The statement announced the appointment of the Executive Chairman of the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Nureni Adeniran, as the Oyo State Coordinator of the APM 2027 Presidential Campaign and Director-General of the State Governorship Campaign Council.
Other appointments include former Chairman of Oyo East Local Government, Saheed Arowosaye, who will serve as Deputy State Coordinator of the APM Presidential Campaign, while the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. Demola Ojo, has been named Deputy Director-General for the Oyo South Senatorial District.
Dr. Femi Ojo and Alhaji Siju Lawal will serve as Deputy Directors-General for the Oyo Central and Oyo North Senatorial Districts, respectively.
The statement also named Hon. Ramata Agberemi Dabo as Director of the Women’s Wing, while former Special Assistant on Youth to Governor Makinde, Hon. Kazeem Bolarinwa, will head the Youth Wing of the campaign council.
It added that additional members of the campaign structure will be announced in due course as preparations for the 2027 election gather momentum.
