NIGERIAN STOCK EXCHANGE POSTED APPRECIABLE PERFORMANCE ON THURSDAY

Trading on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange posted appreciable performance in all three indicators at the end of business on Thursday.
The volume of stocks traded was up by 50%, rising from 286,446,480 traded on Wednesday to 430,121,026 at the close of business on Thursday.
The value of traded stocks also went up to 6,619,323,528 naira from 3,094,793,795.23 traded on Wednesday. Also the number of deals rose to 4,319.00 from 2889.00
However, The All Share Index, declined to 30,738.94 from 30,741.88 as at Wednesday.

AFRICAN PRUDENTIAL PLC was on the top among other gainers on the chart, with its share price rising to 6.2 naira from 5.67.
UNILEVER, GUARANTY TRUST BANK, FBN HOLDING PLC AND WAPCO NIGERIA PLC are the other top gainers.
UNILEVER gained 40 kobo on its share price, which rose from 13.7naira to 14.1, a 2.91% rise
GUARANTY TRUST BANK also gained 20 kobo closing at 32.3naira from 32.1 naira per share traded on Wednesday.
FBN HOLDING PLC share price rose to 6.45 naira from 6.3, a 15kobo gain and a 2.38% increase, while LEARNAFRCA recorded a.9.52% increase with its share price moving to 1.05 naira from 1.15
FLOURMILL led 17 other losers on the chart. Its share price dipped by 80 kobo, declining from 28.40 naira to 27.60.
Other top losers include, INTERNATIONAL BREWERIES, FIDSON HEALTHCARE PLC, UNION BANK OF NIGERIA AND GLAXOSMITHKLINE CONSUMER NIG. PLC
