Buhari commend El-rufai over Infrastructure Development in Kaduna

President Muhammadu Buhari has commended the Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-rufai for the infrastructure development in the state since he assumed office in 2015.

The president made the statement on Friday when he visited Zaria to commission some projects by the Kaduna state government. He also paid a courtesy visit to the Emir of Zazzau.

The president who is on two-day working visit, commissioned the Queen Elizabeth Road, Sabon Gari Modern market, in Zaria on Friday.

In his remarks, Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-rufai thanked and commended the Zaria people for accepting the demolition of their houses to make way for the new road and pledge to provide more infrastructure in Zaria and other parts of the state.

Governor El-rufai said Zaria local government people were consistent in voting for Muhammadu Buhari where in the last election, a total vote of one hundred and fifteen thousand votes highest in any local government in the country voted for him.

The governor commended the traditional rulers, district heads, religious leaders for their efforts in making the project possible and through their advocacy, enlightenment to the people.

He said his administration was considering expanding markets, hospitals, schools, and the water system in the city to take care of the expanding population. He urged the president to put an end to the crisis in the southern part of Kaduna.

In his remarks, Emir of Zazzau, Ambassador Ahmed Bamalli commended the Kaduna state government for quick intervention at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospitals (ABUTH), and also thanked the minister of finance.

The Emir said the infrastructure development will make life easier for travelers who ply through Zaria to Sokoto and Kano among others State.

Bamballi urged president Buhari to address the security challenges in the state adding that the insecurity challenges are preventing some people from going to their farms.

Present at the Emir of Zazzau Palace were traditional rulers, district heads, religious leaders, government officials, ministers and senior government officials.
