I’m not under pressure to withdraw case from court – Secondus

Mr Uche Secondus, former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Monday said he has no intention of withdrawing the case challenging his removal from court.

A  Rivers State High Court had recently restrained Secondus from exercising the functions of the National Chairman of the PDP.

The judge, Justice O. Gbasam who gave the order, also approved the suspension of Secondus as a member of the party pending the hearing and determination of motion on notice for interlocutory injunction.

However, a statement by Secondus’s Media Adviser, Mr Ike Abonyi, on Monday, said that he was in court to seek for justice, as well as save the party from manipulations, vowing to defend himself in court if summoned.

The statement disclosed that Secondus was not in court against the party, but was dragged to court by persons bent on hijacking the soul of the party, stating that the party leaders were aware of the situation and knew what to do to rectify the problem.
