Fans and Colleagues Mourn as Pasuma Buries Mum
Nigerian Fuji Musician Alhaji Wasiu Alabi, better known as Pasuma, has lost and buried his mother, Alhaja Adijat kuburat.
The artiste announced the death of his mother via his verified Instagram page on Thursday night.
“MY JEWEL! I will miss you forever! Words fail me! Rest in power and peace, please watch over me from heaven,” he wrote.
Pasuma is fond of calling himself omo Khadija Kubura or omo iyawo anobi (the son of Khadija Kubura or the son of Prophet’s wife; his mother being the namesake of one of the Prohpet’s wives) in his songs, as a way of expressing affection for his mother.
The post generated more than 10,000 comments, as family, friends, colleagues and fans dropped condolence messages in his comment section.

Born in Mushin in Lagos State, Pasuma aka Oganla of Fuji grew up in Kwara State and started writing songs in 1984.
