The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has revoked the land occupancy rights of the national secretariat of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Abuja.

In a letter dated addressed to the PDP National Chairman, Umar Damagum, the Director of Land Administration at the FCT Administration, Chijioke Nwankwoeze, hinged the revocation on the non-payment of ground rent by the party.

The FCTA official alleged that the PDP has refused to pay the annual fee, expected of land owners for the right to occupy and use their property, in the last 19 years, between January 1, 2006 and January 1, 2025.
