Prominent Zaria Cleric, Sheikh Usman Kusfa ‘Rigi-Rigi’, Dies At 57
A renowned Zaria Islamic scholar, Sheikh Khalifa Usman Idris, popularly known as Rigi-Rigi, has passed away.
Rigi-Rigi’s son-in-law, Malama Abubakar Ɗanyaro, confirmed the cleric’s death to Newsmen on Monday.
He said that the scholar passed away Sunday night at a private hospital in Kaduna.

The cleric was hospitalized at 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital Kaduna before he was transferred to a private hospital in Barnawa, Kaduna, where he passed away.
Sheikh Kusfa hailed from Zaria, Kaduna State, where he spent much of his life teaching, preaching, and mentoring his followers.
Rigi-Rigi was well-known for his humorous preaching style, with videos of his sermons widely circulating and very popular on social media.
Sheikh Kusfa, a member of the Tijjaniyya sect, was widely known for his unconventional and humorous approach to Islamic teaching. His distinctive preaching style, often infused with comedy and references to unusual names of past Islamic scholars, endeared him to many followers and sparked curiosity among Muslims.
