Wife of Abia State Governor, Priscilia Otti, has restated the State Government’s commitment to empowering women and young people in Agriculture as a sure way of strengthening the Agricultural sector and enhancing food Security in the State and Nation.
Otti stated this during the successful training and distribution of starter parks for Agricultural support programme for Abia central senatorial zone by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and food security, under the Renewed Hope Initiative of wife of the President Oluremi Tinubu held in Umuahia.
Otti extended her gratitude to wife of the President, for her exceptional leadership and vision in driving the Agricultural Support Program, adding that the training program which commenced on Monday was carefully structured around strategic pillars designed to address key challenges within the Agricultural sector.
Speaking earlier, the State coordinator Federal Ministry of Agriculture and food security, Aloysius Mba, who spoke on behalf of the Minister, Abubakar Kiari, thanked wife of the State Governor for showing so much commitment towards implementing the lofty project for the good of Abia People.
75 women and youths who are farmers benefited from the Training/Distribution of the Starter Packs of the Agricultural Program.
