AFCON: I’ll treat Okoye, Uzoho, Noble same way Enyeama treated me – Ikechukwu Ezenwa

Super Eagles goalkeeper, Ikechukwu Ezenwa, has promised to treat younger goalkeepers, Maduka Okoye, Francis Uzoho and John Noble, same way Vincent Enyeama treated him when he first joined the Super Eagles.

He described the as his younger brothers and wonderful goalkeepers.

The three goalkeepers: Uzoho, Okoye and Noble are in contention for the Super Eagles starting XI for the African Cup of Nations matches against Benin Republic and Lesotho.

Super Eagles handler, Gernot Rohr did not find Ezenwa worthy in his 24-man team.

Nigeria have scored 10 goals and conceded 7 in four qualifying matches but the 32-year-old believes his ‘younger brothers’ need some luck to do well in the coming matches.

“All of them are wonderful goalkeepers, I’ve been with them and they are my younger brothers. The same way when I came to the Super Eagles, Enyeama welcomed me as a younger brother,” Ezenwa told Goal.

“They are great goalkeepers and I wish they do more for the country. Okoye, Uzoho and Noble, I just pray for favour for my colleagues.

“Sometimes, you might be doing very well but when that luck is not there, it might be a problem.”
