Akeredolu orders reopening of Ondo schools October 19

The Governor of Ondo State, Mr Rotimi Akeredolu, has directed all schools in the state to resume full academic activities on Monday, October 19, 2020.

Akeredolu also ordered that while resuming, all schools must abide by the COVID-19 preventive guidelines released by the Ondo State Inter-ministerial Committee to ensure the safety of staff and students.

The Chairman of the Inter-ministerial Committee on COVID-19, Prof. Adesegun Fatusi, stated this on Wednesday while speaking with journalists in Akure, the state capital.

The don said the governor also instructed the committee to conduct periodic monitoring visit to the schools and added that any school found to have being in breach of the COVID-19 guidelines should be shut.
