The Anambra Motor Manufacturing Company (ANAMMCO) has urged governments at all levels and corporate organization’s to patronage locally made vehicles to create employment and boost the nation’s economy.
The General Manager of ANAMMCO, Chinelo Igwe who made the call a press conference at the ongoing 35th Enugu International Trade Fair noted that such patronage of locally made vehicles would apart from boosting production also create massive employment that would further reduce crime and criminality, especially among the youth.
She disclosed that ANAMMCO is in partnership with Dongfeng to produce light duty, medium duty and heavy duty trucks which are built to withstand Nigerian roads and convey tones of goods within the length and breadth of the country.
The General Manager said ANAMMCO gives three years’ service warranty for its trucks while in it is working in a synergy with a local transport company to open service workshops in 36 states of the country and make all parts of the trucks readily available.
According to her, the trucks are made with Nigerian roads in mind and fuel economy in mind assuring that the trucks are highly durable and rugged with simple engines and highly affordable by all.
The Director General of Enugu Chamber of Commerce, Mr UcheUba, said ANAMMCO had been known for producing vehicles that are durable and of outstanding quality for ages.
