Engr. Anayo Bedford Onwuegbu has been commended for his exemplary leadership, humility, and development of the ALEX EKWUEME Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, (AE-FUNAI) in Ebonyi state.
The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Chinedum Nwajiugba made the commendation during the 2020 Fifth and Special convocation ceremony of the AE-FUNAI where Chief Onwuegbu was conferred with an Honorary Doctorate Degree Professor Nwajiuba noted that Engineer Anayo Onwuegbu has remained pivotal to the development of the institution has served as the first Pro chancellor of the institution.
The Honorable Member representing Orji River Local Government in Enugu State House of Assembly, Hon. Jeff Mba and the Traditional ruler of Ibeagwa Nike, Igwe Emmanuel Ugwu, said the AE-FUNAI recognition of Engr Onwuegbu is well deserved. Speaking after receiving the award, Chief Onwuegbu said the honour is one of his happiest moments in life. At a reception after the convocation Chief Gbazuoagu Nweke Gbazuoagu pointed out that the character of Anayo Onwuegbu is worthy of Emulation Among the dignitaries that attended the ceremony was the Governor of Enugu State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.
