Manchester United were fuming with the club’s executive vice-chairman, Ed Woodward, during an emergency meeting at Carrington on Monday, SportsMail reports.

Some squad members were angry after they found out about the breakaway European Super League via the media on Sunday.

Insiders also feel manager Ole Gunanr Solskjaer was thrown under the bus, when left to face questions after the story had broken during their 3-1 win over Burnley at Old Trafford,

They made their feelings known and Woodward delivered a briefing via Zoom to explain the club’s position at their training base.

It is understood the reception among many of the squad was “lukewarm at best”.
