Real Madrid striker, Karim Benzema, on Sunday evening, made history following his side’s LaLiga 1-1 draw against Atletico Madrid.
Goals from Luis Suarez and Benzema gave both Atletico and Real Madrid a point each at Estadio Wanda Metropolitano.
The result means Atletico Madrid is on top of the LaLiga table with 59 points from 25 games.
Real Madrid, meanwhile, are in the third position with 54 points from 26 games.
According to OptaJoe, Benzema has now become the foreign player with the most appearances for Real Madrid in LaLiga’s history after featuring against Atletico.
The France forward has 371 appearances for Zinedine Zidane’s side, beating Roberto Carlos (370).
Benzema will now hope to continue his impressive display for Real Madrid when they face Elche in their next game at home on March 13.
